Sony George have been appointed as a Commissioner for the Advisory Commission on Policing (ACP) for Montgomery County. The ACP plays a vital role in advising the County Council on policing matters, recommending legislation and regulations, conducting public outreach to gather community input, and addressing feedback from residents. Through this forum, we will advocate for practical and balanced policies that enhance the safety and security of our neighborhoods.

The next SecurePotomac.org meeting is scheduled for Thursday November 7th, 2024, from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Potomac Community Library Meeting Room. As with our previous meeting, we anticipate having representation from law enforcement and elected officials. We are actively working to invite additional participants from these groups to further our discussions. We are pleased to confirm strong representation from both law enforcement and elected officials.

The meeting’s objective is to work collaboratively as a community to enhance the safety and security of our neighbourhood. We will review updates and progress on the items discussed at our previous meeting and address new incidents of concern. Our elected officials and law enforcement representatives will also provide updates from their end. Given the high level of interest from the community, we expect significant participation once again. We encourage everyone to attend and spread the word to others who may wish to contribute.
